What's New — July 2026
A personal watchlist, push notifications on iPhone, a 'seen before' indicator in fixture lineups, customizable board columns, a redesigned fixture view with clearer sync states, and community editing for external fixtures.
2026-07-31
Improvements
- Watchlist moved into the row menu — The bookmark action on the Players table now lives in the row's overflow menu alongside the other actions, replacing a pinned column whose edge shadow made short lists look torn off mid-page.
Bug Fixes
- Adding a player to a board no longer needs edit rights on the player — Reviewers and Contributors could not add a player to a board from the player profile, even on a board they own. The button now checks board membership — the permission that actually governs the action — so it matches what the backend has always allowed.
2026-07-29
Improvements
- Added At and Added By on boards — The board List view's "Created" column is now the clearer "Added At", and a new "Added By" column shows who placed each player on the board. (ATH-705)
2026-07-26
Bug Fixes
- Polish for the "last seen" display on the fixture view.
2026-07-25
New Features
- "Seen before" indicator in fixture lineups — Each player in a lineup now shows whether your workspace has already scouted them, with their prior reports right there, so you can tell at a glance who is new and who you have history on. (ATH-693)
- Customizable board columns — Choose which columns the board List view shows, and your choice of Board or List view is now remembered per board instead of resetting each visit. (ATH-644)
Improvements
- Column picker matches the filter dropdown — The two panels now share a trigger, a header and Reset behavior, locked columns render consistently with the rest, and Reset stays disabled until the layout actually differs from the default. (ATH-644)
Bug Fixes
- Filter Reset no longer widens a view — Reset used to clear the filters a saved view is built on, silently turning "All Players" into every player in the organization with no way back. It now clears only the filters you added yourself. (ATH-644)
2026-07-24
Improvements
- Verified and synced fixtures are locked from editing — The interface now matches the permissions the backend already enforced, so an action that would be refused is no longer offered. (ATH-668)
- Instant task status toggle — Changing a task's status updates the board immediately rather than waiting on the server round-trip. (ATH-652)
Bug Fixes
- Board stage order no longer reverses, plus board UI polish for tooltips and a crowded overflow menu.
- Player profiles that fail to load show a skeleton instead of crashing — A deleted player, a bad link or a permission denial used to throw an error on the profile banner. (ATH-686)
- Search no longer errors on malformed input — Out-of-range or non-numeric paging values and unexpected exclusion input are validated instead of failing the request. (ATH-560)
2026-07-22
Improvements
- Faster fixture add — Adding a fixture warms its data ahead of time, so the banner is populated the moment the page opens. (ATH-651)
Bug Fixes
- Verification stays human — Automatic enrichment no longer marks a fixture verified; only a person can. (ATH-650)
2026-07-21
Bug Fixes
- Consistent dark tooltips on board cards — Tooltips on the board no longer varied in style from the rest of the app.
2026-07-14
New Features
- Push notifications on iPhone — The iOS app now registers with Apple correctly and reaches the system permission prompt, so alerts actually arrive. If enabling notifications fails, the app now says so and points you at Settings instead of a tap that appears to do nothing. (ATH-594)
2026-07-10
Bug Fixes
- Filled bookmark icon on the bulk watchlist button — The Players bulk-action bar showed the outline icon where the filled one belongs.
2026-07-09
New Features
- Personal watchlist — Follow the players you want to keep an eye on and find them again in a Watchlist view of your own, separate from your workspace's shared lists. Follow from the player profile or in bulk from the Players table. (ATH-582)
- Community editing for external fixtures — Fixtures pulled from external sources that haven't been verified yet can now be edited by the community, making it easier to correct and complete match data together. (ATH-592)
Improvements
- Report an issue on more fixtures — The "Report Issue" action now appears on any fixture that isn't one you created manually, including verified and synced matches, so you can flag bad data wherever you spot it.
- Redesigned fixture view — The fixture page now leads with the matchup and score, pairs a clear sync-state chip with the date and time, and moves actions into a tidy menu. Every sync state (verified, community, syncing, failed, pending and more) has its own color, icon and plain-language tooltip, and verified matches hide the feedback actions. The lineup tab and banner also read far better on mobile.
Bug Fixes
- Bench players show their team in substitutions — The "Player In" dropdown no longer labels bench players as "Free Player" when they clearly belong to the match; it now shows the correct team. (ATH-591)
- More reliable sign-in — Email addresses are now normalized consistently across the app and backend, preventing sign-in and account-matching issues caused by differences in capitalization or spacing. (ATH-593)
2026-07-07
Bug Fixes
- Fixture pages no longer crash on incomplete lineups — Fixed a crash that could occur when a lineup or substitution referenced a player with missing data. (ATH-591)
2026-07-03
New Features
- Add stages to your Pipeline board — A new add-stage tile at the end of the Pipeline lets you create additional columns directly on the board, so you can shape your recruitment stages to match your process. (ATH-580)
Improvements
- Pipeline board adapts to your screen — Pipeline columns now grow to fill the available width instead of a fixed size, and player cards render on a single line (player, reports, last seen) on wider screens, stacking neatly on smaller ones. (ATH-580)
- Compact, responsive List view — On narrower screens the board List view switches to a denser layout — status collapses to a color dot, reports tighten up, and the owner shows as an avatar — so all your columns stay readable without horizontal scrolling. (ATH-579)
- Assign board owners from across the workspace — The position owner picker now covers everyone in the workspace and lets you invite non-members, so you're never blocked from assigning the right person. (ATH-576)
2026-07-02
New Features
- Position owners and open-task counts on boards — Board positions can now have a designated owner, and the List view shows how many open tasks each position has at a glance, making it easier to see who's responsible and what's outstanding. (ATH-576)
Bug Fixes
- Cleaner Compare Players dialog — The dialog footer no longer appears when there are no actions to show.
