What's New — March 2026
Pipeline view for recruitment, AI player search, player career stats, boards improvements, lineup formations, faster data loading, password reset reliability, changelog link in-app, player deduplication, richer team fixtures, PDF and mobile improvements, and a series of reliability fixes.
2026-03-31
Improvements
- Match data now syncs more accurately by tracking partially completed uploads, reducing gaps when a match import is interrupted or incomplete.
2026-03-30
Improvements
- AI-powered player search now starts up more reliably, reducing failed or slow results when the feature is first used after a period of inactivity.
New Features
- Pipeline view for recruitment tracking — Boards now include a dedicated Pipeline tab with a Kanban-style layout. Players are organized into columns by recruiting status, and you can drag them between columns — or between groups in the list view — to update their status at a glance. (ATH-300)
2026-03-28
Improvements
- Add players to boards more easily — Each board group now has a dedicated add button, making it quicker to assign players to specific positions or groups within a board. (ATH-296)
2026-03-27
Bug Fixes
- Team search respects selected competition — When creating a fixture and selecting a competition, the team search now correctly filters to teams in that competition rather than returning all teams globally. (ATH-291)
- Fixed an issue where lineup positions could fail to display correctly when no formation data was available.
2026-03-26
New Features
- AI-powered player search — You can now search for players using natural language. Type something like "fast winger under 22, good in the air" and the system will analyze scouting reports and player profiles to surface the best matches. Combine AI results with traditional filters for even more precision. (ATH-285)
- Player career stats tab — You can now view a player's full career statistics in a dedicated tab on their profile, giving scouts and sporting directors a clearer picture of performance history across clubs and seasons. (ATH-283)
Improvements
- Cleaner player data — Removed an outdated field from player profiles to keep information accurate and relevant.
Bug Fixes
- Lineup formations now load reliably — Fixed an issue where formation diagrams could appear blank or broken on certain lineups. Formations will now display correctly even when some data is missing.
2026-03-25
Improvements
- Faster player and team data loading — Significant performance improvements to how we fetch data from our football data provider (Sportmonks). Pages that load countries, teams, or player details should feel noticeably snappier.
Bug Fixes
- Password reset emails now delivered more reliably — Forgot password emails are now sent through SendGrid, improving deliverability and reducing the chance they end up in your spam folder.
- Images no longer overflow in report fields — Pasted or embedded images in scouting report text areas are now properly contained and won't spill outside their boundaries.
Platform
- Changelog now accessible from the app — You can find a link to the latest changelog directly from the reload prompt and the Settings page, so you always know what's changed.
2026-03-01
New Features
- Merge duplicate players when linking external sources — When connecting a player to an external database, you can now choose to merge the external record into your existing player profile rather than creating a separate entry. This keeps your squad data clean without losing the external link. (ATH-263)
- Reports and schedule columns on team fixtures — The team fixtures view now shows report counts and scheduled scouting assignments alongside each match, with click-to-preview for quick access.
Improvements
- Compact player profile PDF — The player profile banner in exported PDFs has been updated to a tighter layout, making better use of space on the page.
- Consistent match header across PDFs — Schedule and report PDFs now share a unified match header that always includes the correct organization and workspace details.
- Clearer AI assistant prompts — The titles and descriptions in AI-powered dialogs have been reworded to be more intuitive and easier to act on.
Bug Fixes
- Report ratings display correctly — Star ratings (e.g. 4.5) now show consistently as their actual value rather than being rounded or misrepresented.
- Images no longer overflow in report fields — Pasted or embedded images inside report text areas now stay within their container instead of spilling outside the layout.
- Report fields display correctly on mobile — Field columns were rendering too narrow on small screens; they now adapt properly to the available width.
- Mobile header actions align correctly — Action buttons in page headers now sit flush to the right on mobile as expected.
- Lineup loading state on mobile — A skeleton loading indicator now appears while the lineup is being fetched, preventing a blank screen flash.
- Mention email links open the right workspace — Clicking a @mention notification email now correctly navigates to the workspace the mention was made in, rather than defaulting to the wrong one.
- File uploads no longer produce name collisions — Uploaded files are now given a unique identifier prefix, preventing one user's file from overwriting another's with the same name.
- Reviewers can now upload files — A missing permission meant users with the Reviewer role could not attach files; this has been corrected.
- Player sync preserves source information — Syncing a player from an external source now correctly retains the source ID and source name in the player record.
- Dropdowns show names instead of raw IDs — Several selection dialogs were displaying internal identifiers instead of human-readable names; these now show the correct labels.
- Fixed a freeze in the file upload component — An issue that caused the upload field to enter a recursive update loop (and sometimes fail to delete files) has been resolved.
